On February first, a man was left hospitalized after MetalStorm's debut "Wiener brawl night" - a brawl night for those with no or minimal cyberware - as they called it.
The notorious brawlclub favorite of many Night Cities partygoers had to close shop that night when a Maelstrom member, "Kip", suffered four hits from a handgun. Shooter in question was reportedly Biotechnica's middle-manager, Mohan Ainias, looking to live out his emotions in a more active way that night. Maelstrom member in question said: "The fucker has something against Maelstrom. Tried to jump me in the toilet, but think again if ya'll think a handgun can take on this chrome of mine!" Ainias, however, did not have any cyberware or armor and was promptly delivered to a private hospital by Trauma Team after extreme blunt force trauma to the head caused in self defence by the Maelstrom member. Biotechnica refused to comment on the matter.
MetalStorm owner, Ismail Ingle, had the following to say:
"Well, we sort of anticipated something of the sort would happen and our clientele know the risks - it's part of the appeal. It's not the if, it's the when. This is why we have REO Meatwagon plan to extract any critically injured to the nearest hospital, medtechie or ripperdoc. The dude was insured with Trauma Team, though I imagine the higherups of his ain't too happy about spending that much insurance money on brawl nights."
After the shots were heard from the toilets and club was locked down for questioning, four other unknown brawlers in the club that night gave some trouble to MetalStorm's security by fleeing through the vents of one of their VIP rooms. It is unknown wether they had anything to do with the incident. Could be that they were in posession of something valuable or something that would've landed them in jail, but no official info has surfaced.
